“Rock-tinged energy, razor sharp guitar licks, pouncing keyboards, feverish harmonica, powerful lyrics and gutsy American-tinged vocals” – Folkwords
“They really stow away a large amount of charm on each song” – U & I Magazine
“A white knuckle rollercoaster ride that offers glimpses of Johnny Cash, Jack White, Bob Dylan, Leadbelly, Ryan Adams – real deals with nowt taken out.” – Fatea Magazine

Pre-Release Album Launch Party @ The Hertford Corn Exchange

What a night. Thanks to everybody that came down to The Hertford Corn Exchange last Friday to show their support for the upcoming release of our second album – a tiny little island in the big bad sea. We had the best time and hope you all did too. We can’t thank enough the people that put all the hard work into decorating the venue to make the evening so special – you know who you are.
Support acts for the evening did us proud; Tom Dibb’s fantastic laid back performance set a lovely atmosphere and The Huxleys, who’ve only recently got back on the live circuit, went down a storm.

By the time The Dirts took to the stage the venue was jam packed and ready to roll. The set lasted over an hour and featured most songs from the new album, a couple of new ones and an oldie, thrown in for good luck.

Towards the end of the night The Dirts were joined by Stephen Glithero, Jessica from The Huxleys and Tom Dibb for a cover of "The Weight" by The Band. Fun was had by all.

It ain't over yet. We're taking the party to the big smoke. Before The Gold Rush will host our album launch on the week of release at The Slaughtered Lamb (London) Thursday 21st November. Support comes from Slow Wolf and Geffin Brothers. Tickets are limited and have already started shifting so book early to avoid disappointment.

Woo Hoo, we've got a new website!

It's here in all it's glory. Enjoy it.

And you can buy stuff!
